What is the greatest gift you've received from yoga?

There are too many to narrow it down, but here it is in a nutshell: Nourishment. Resilience. Purpose. A sense of peace.

What do you want or wish more people knew about yoga?

It's not just stretching or fitness. The practice is so complex and rich beyond the physical layer; yoga is truly a beautiful gift from the ancients of India. There is so much more within the inner elements of the tradition, an ancient "self-help guide" to support us in our modern-day troubles.

What makes your style of teaching unique or special?

I teach what I practice, as my life stages evolve. I offer breath-centric movement that supports human energy flow (prana) to be intentionally directed into areas of focus. My Tuesday class, "Integrated Vinyasa," offers movement plus pranayama, taking the practice a bit deeper. My teachings may not be complex, physical postures anymore (though I leave space for you to add them in if you need to), but instead, I provide the opportunity for my students to tap into some innate sense of themselves and to be curious about what is under the surface and to dive deeper.

What is the song you play on repeat?

It rotates depending on my mood or situation. I have an eclectic appreciation for sound. Currently, it has been "Rumble" by Link Wray...so awesome.

Winter or summer?

Summer!

Dessert or dinner?

That's hard but I pick savory over sweet...dinner.
